1. 2028 National punter Ratings

We only evaluate campers that we have personally seen at a Kohl's camp. In order to assure yourself a ranking you must attend a Kohl's Showcase camp or the Scholarship camp.

When ranking we ask the question, "If there was a college game today, is this athlete ready to help a college team win?". We look at the camp charts and take into account the different conditions at each camp. We also look strongly at how an athlete performs in drill work when they know they are being evaluated and graded. We see how they handle pressure and react in the camp competitions. We see certain athletes multiple times a year and try to grade them on their average performance.

Kohl's sees more athletes than anyone else in America at our 135 events.

There will be over 300 Kohl's high school seniors playing college football next season. There are many good prospects at the 4.0 and 4.5 star levels that will start in college in the future.

Bumstead had another good showing at the 2024 Future Stars Camp. He is building solid fundamentals and as his leg strength improves the next 4 years, he will continue to see increased hang time and distance on his punts. His biggest charted punt during the camp was 32 yards with 3.62 seconds of hang. Bumstead competed at the 2023 Kohl's Southern Showcase in December. It was his first ranking event. He connected on multiple punts of 35 yards or more and posted a score of 85.70 in charting. Bumstead hit a big ball of 39 yards with 3.34 seconds of hang time.

Borseth attended the 2023 Kohl's Midwest Showcase Camp in December. It was his first ranking event and he was one of the youngest athletes competing. Borseth competed as both a kicker and a punter. He scored 2 points on field goals and showed some "pop" for a 2028 athlete. He kicked off well for his age, posting a score of 75.10 and a big ball of 48 yards with 2.85 seconds of hang time. Borseth achieves great hang time on his punts, with multiple punts over 3.30 seconds of hang time. As Borseth grows and progresses in high school, his attention is well spent on strengthening his technique and beginning to get some work in the weight room.
