Kohl's Comments

Howell recently participated at the 2026 Kohl's Midwest Spring Showcase. He scored 6 points in the field goal charting portion of camp and demonstrated consistent ball striking with solid fundamentals throughout the day. Howell also performed well on kickoffs, earning an 86.65 kickoff score while producing a best ball of 55 yards with 3.22 seconds of hang time. In the punting portion of camp, he finished with a 76.56 punt score and showed versatility as a multi-skilled specialist. Howell competed at the 2025 Kohl's Future Stars Camp, showcasing his developing skills as a young specialist. He recorded a kickoff score of 68.90. Howell's best ball measured 47 yards with a hang time of 2.45 seconds, and he also successfully charted 2 field goals. Additionally he posted a punt score of 78.03. With continued development and focus, Howell has the potential to improve his technique and become an even stronger specialist in the future. Howell came out to the 2024 Kohl's Midwest Showcase Camp in December. He scored 3 points on field goals and connected on a few nice balls during the drill work portion of camp. Howell scored 79.35 points on kickoffs. His leg strength has improved over the last 5 months. His best kickoff was a 50-yard ball with 2.94 seconds of hang time. Howell scored 79.76 points on punt charting with a big ball of 34 yards with 3.70 seconds of hang time. His drop table has improved as a punter. Continued focus on his technique will help Howell grow his game over the next few seasons. We are excited to follow his progress. Howell recently competed at the 2024 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He had a solid showing for his first ranking event. He flashed solid leg strength and coordination throughout the event. His command of his "A" ball can continue to be a point of emphasis this off season and into next year on his kickoffs and punts. He scored 7 points in the field goal charting and produced an overall score of 70.52 in the kickoff portion. His punting produced a score of 73.76 points which includes a big ball of 34 yards with 3.26 seconds of hang time. Hitting the weights and getting swings in will be key for his development the next 4 years.
