Kohl's Comments

Schmidt had another excellent showing at the 2025 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He impressed in all three disciplines of the event, and he charted some impressive kicks. He scored 23 points in the field goal charting and produced a score of 96.15 in the kickoff portion of camp. His overall score in the punt charting was 96.14 points. His biggest charted punt at camp was 47 yards with 4.17 seconds of hang time. Schmidt participated in the 2025 Kohl's Midwest Spring Showcase where he had a great day for his first ranking event. He made 9 field goals and earned a kickoff score of 98.15, with his best ball traveling 64 yards and 3.50 seconds of hang time. He also turned in a strong punting performance with a score of 100.71, highlighted by a best punt of 50 yards and 4.19 seconds. He demonstrated solid all-around ability as a combo specialist and has one of the better legs of his class.
