Sterling participated in the 2025 Kohl's National Scholarship Invitational. He made 9 field goals during the charting session and earned a solid kickoff score of 85.70, with his best ball traveling 64 yards with 2.93 seconds of hang time. He also delivered an improved punt performance, finishing with a strong score of 90.65, including a standout ball of 43 yards and 3.93 seconds of hang time. Sterling's ability to contribute in multiple areas makes him a specialist with continued upside. Sterling came out to the 2025 Kohl's Eastern Showcase Camp in May. He scored 3 points on rollout charting and 84.18 points on punts. He has shown improvement in his punting over the last several months. Sterling's best punt was a 41-yard punt with 3.84 seconds of hang time. Continued focus on his drop table will keep Sterling on the path to success. Sterling recently competed at the Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp, where he scored 13 points on the field goal charting. In the kickoff session, he achieved a score of 79.40 with his best ball being a 49-yard kick with a hang time of 3.03 seconds. Sterling also showcased his punting abilities, earning a punt score of 78.26, with his big ball being a 35-yard punt with a 3.66-second hang time. Sterling should be in store for a big season! Sterling also competed at the 2024 Kohl's Southern Showcase Camp in May. He scored 5 points on field goals, 80.40 points on kickoffs, and 80.14 points on punts. Sterling struck his "A" ball on field goals with confidence and demonstrated smooth mechanics during drill work. His big kickoff traveled 53 yards with 2.97 seconds of hang time. His best punt was a 34-yard punt with 3.77 seconds of hang time. Paired with some technical refinements to his swing and drop table, weight training can grow Sterling's abilities as a combo athlete in the class of 2027.
