Kohl's Comments

Frey came out to the 2024 Kohl's Southern Showcase Camp in May. He competed well in all 3 disciplines and earned another half-star as both a kicker and punter. Frey scored 8 points on field goals and showed his smooth technique. Frey scored 106.05 points on kickoffs. His leg strength has improved significantly as he connected on a big kickoff of 71 yards with 3.54 seconds of hang time. Frey scored 94.12 points on punt charting and scored 8 points on roll-outs. He punted the ball well on the move. Frey's biggest charted punt was a 51-yard punt with 4.19 seconds of hang time. Frey has seen gains in his leg strength due to his hard work in the weight room. Continued efforts on leg speed paired with some tweaks in his technique can elevate Frey's abilities as a combo athlete. Frey recently competed at the 2023 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He was dominant on field goals at the event where he scored 23 combined points. His kickoffs are solid and if he can raise them to the same level as his field goals, he can become one of the top prospects in his class. He scored a big ball of 60 yards with 3.52 seconds of hang time on the kickoff charting. During the punt portion of camp, he connected with some great "A" balls and with continued emphasis on controlling his drop longer, can become a high-level punter as well. His biggest charted punt at camp was 40 yards with 4.20 seconds of hang time. Frey attended the 2023 Kohl's Southern Spring Showcase Camp. He was solid with his ball striking once again in the field goal charting and drill work portions of camp. He scored 8 points in the charting portion of camp and was consistent with his ball striking and command of his "A" ball.
