Kohl's Comments

Thorley had another excellent showing at the 2026 Kohl's National Underclassman Challenge. His "A" ball is excellent and creating more command on calling on it will help his punting ability to continue to improve. His overall score in the punt sessions was 103.71 points. His biggest charted punt was 53 yards with 4.26 seconds of hang time. He scored 17 combined points in the field goal charting and produced a great score of 108.60. James Thorley competed at the December 2025 Kohl's Eastern Winter Showcase held in Pittsburgh, where his ability stacked up well against the top performers across the country. He won the camp-wide punt competition and tied for first in the field goal competition. He accumulated 11 points on field goals, 107.2 on kickoffs, and 102.9 on punts. His top hits included a 70-yard punt with a hang time of 3.8 seconds and a 56-yard punt with a hang time of 3.77 seconds. Thorley also excelled at the 2025 Kohl's National Scholar ship Camp, scoring 20 points in field goal charting and achieving 101.4 points in kickoffs, with his longest kickoff reaching 72 yards and a hang time of 3.53 seconds.
