Kohl's Comments

Hughes came out to the 2025 Kohl's Midwest Showcase Camp in May. He had another solid performance and earned another half-star as a kicker. Hughes scored 11 points on field goals, 99.45 on kickoffs, 97.46 on punts, and 12 on rollouts. He is a well-rounded combo prospect. Hughes connected on a 66-yard kickoff with 3.42 seconds of hang time. He also hit a 50-yard punt with 4.40 seconds of hang time. Hughes recently attended the 2025 Kohl's National Underclassman Challenge. He flashed an excellent "A" ball and produced a score of 96.65 in the punt charting. His biggest charted punt was 53 yards with 4.39 seconds of hang time. Hughes competed at the 2024 Kohl's Midwest Winter Showcase. He showed huge improvement with his punting and charted well in all three disciplines. He scored 95.75 points in the kickoff charting and scored 6 points in the field goal portion. In the punt charting, his overall score was 101.95 which includes a big ball of 46 yards with 4.44 seconds of hang time. He impressed in the rollout portion of camp and had 12 points in the charting.
