Berg had a strong showing at the 2023 Kohl's Southern Winter Showcase. He showed marked improvement in his leg strength and his overall command of his ball striking. He scored 9 points in the field goal charting and connected with a big ball of 69 yards with 3.37 seconds of hang time. His overall kickoff score was 101.05. He was improved with his technique during the punt portion of camp, and he connected with a big ball of 54 yards with 3.99 seconds of hang time. Berg competed at the 2023 Kohl's National Scholarship Showcase. He scored 13 points on the field goal charting.
