Phillips has worked hard to refine his snapping and showcased his improvement at the 2025 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He finished the weekend with an average snap time of .75 seconds. Phillips has a smooth release and spins the ball with tight rotation on each snap. He will take his snapping to a new level as he develops physically and stays the course with his snapping development.
