With the only three specialists taken by teams in the NFL Draft, as well as a large number of undrafted free agent signings and NFL camp invites post-draft, Kohl's athletes showed extremely well during the 2026 NFL Draft weekend.
2026 Draft Recap for Kickers & Punters
- Pick 211 (RD 6) - Ryan Eckley (P) - Baltimore Ravens (Michigan State)
- Pick 216 (RD 6) - Trey Smack (K) - Green Bay Packers (Florida)
- Pick 239 (RD 7) - Tommy Doman (P) - Buffalo Bills (Florida)
This year's NFL Draft featured three standouts at both the high school and collegiate levels-- with all three training and competing at the Kohl's College Elite Camp throughout their college careers.
In the 6th round of the NFL Draft, the first specialist off the board overall was Michigan State's Ryan Eckley, selected by the Baltimore Ravens. Prior to Michigan State, Ryan Eckley was a 5-star punter in the Kohl's Class of 2022, and the No. 8 ranked punter in the nation as a college prospect. His performance during his high school seasons and competitive camps translated well to college football, where he earned freshman All-American honors, and finished his career out with the top overall gross punt average in college football his senior season.

Shortly after Eckley, the Green Bay Packers selected Trey Smack, who has arguably been at the top of the majority of draft boards as a potential NFL prospect. In high school, Trey Smack took the camp circuit by storm quickly earning a 5-star rating, a top 5 ranking, and finding a home at the University of Florida. His journey to college football was well documented. Smack holds the Florida record for most field goal from 50+, and was a standout at the NFL Combine.

Florida's Tommy Doman was the next off the board. Doman was a transfer from Michigan, who ended up leading the FBS in hang time his senior year while punting for the Gators. Prior to a great collegiate career, Tommy Doman was the No. 2 ranked punter in America for the Kohl's Class of 2021. Tommy dominated most camps as a combo kicker/punter, and also provides a strong kickoff leg to pair with his elite punting abilities.
