Kohl's Kicking National Player of the Week
The Kohl's staff wants to recognize Kohl's kicking, punting, and long snapping prospects across the country for their outstanding performances each week during the 2024-2025 high school football season.
Kohl's Comments
Mentzer recently competed at the 2023 Kohl's Eastern Winter Showcase. He was able to show good ball rotation on his field goals, netting 7 points. During the kickoff charting, Mentzer was able to send his standout ball a distance of 62 yards with a hang time of 3.90 seconds. On his punt charting, Mentzer flashed his leg strength with a big ball of 45 yards with a hang time of 4.38 seconds. Mentzer also competed at the 2023 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He impressed with his field goal command and scored a combined 25 points in the charting. His biggest charted kickoff was 67 yards with 3.68 seconds of hang time. His punt form was consistent, and he charted some great punts as well, including a big ball of 57 yards with 4.32 seconds of hang time. Mentzer competed at the 2023 Kohl's Eastern Spring Showcase. He's worked hard at his punting form, and he punted with confidence at camp. His biggest charted punt was 49 yards with 4.15 seconds of hang.
