Kohl's Comments

Hughes came out to the 2024 Kohl's Future Stars Camp in January. He scored 6 points on field goals despite some tough conditions. He hits a very clean "A" ball. Hughes scored 91.60 points on kickoff charting with a big ball of 59 yards with 3.43 seconds of hang time. Continued focus on leg strength and speed paired with technical refinements will elevate Hughes' game to the next level. Hughes recently competed at the 2023 Kohl’s Midwest Winter Showcase. He showed great command of the football during the field goal session putting up 7 points. During the kickoff charting, Hughes had a big ball of 59 yards with a hang time of 3.46 seconds. Hughes also attended the 2023 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He competed in both field goals and kickoffs and he flashed an excellent "A" ball in his charting. His combined score after three sessions on field goals was 17 and he connected with a big ball of 61 yards with 3.56 seconds of hang time. His overall score for camp on kickoffs was 94.82. Hughes attended the 2023 Kohl's Southern Spring Showcase Camp. He was greatly improved in his ball striking on field goals and he scored 9 points during the charting portion. His command of his body has increased, and he's become confident with his ability. He scored a big ball of 60 yards with 3.62 seconds of hang time on kickoffs. Hughes continues to be a talented prospect to watch moving into this next year!
