Mechsner competed at the 2025 Kohl's Fall Ranking Event. He made 6 field goals during the charting session. He earned a 96.90 on his kickoff charting, with his best ball traveling 61 yards and 3.60 seconds of hang time. He also scored an 87.79 in punting, demonstrating strong potential as a combo specialist. His leg strength and consistency continue to trend upward, and with focused offseason training, he has the ability to take his game to an even higher level. Mechsner had another strong showing at the 2025 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He showed solid refinement in all three disciplines and was able to chart well throughout camp. He scored 90.10 points in the punt charting and connected with a big ball of 50 yards with 3.93 seconds of hang time. He scored 15 points in the field goal charting and produced a score of 98.25 points in the kickoff portion of camp. Mechsner came out to the 2025 Kohl's Texas Showcase Camp in May. He had another consistent performance. Mechsner scored a well-rounded 8 points on field goals, 98.25 points on kickoffs, and 96.74 points on punts. He earned another half-star as a punter. His abilities have grown over the past few months. His best punt was a 55-yard blast with 3.89 seconds of hang time. Mechsner charted multiple punts of 40 yards or more during charting.
