Mikkelsen participated in the 2025 Kohl's National Scholarship Invitational. He converted 7 field goals during the charting session and posted a kickoff score of 91.22. His top kickoff traveled 62 yards with 3.29 seconds of hang time. With continued refinement and consistency, he has the tools to be a strong prospect heading forward. Mikkelsen competed at the 2024 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He earned a 4-star rating at his first ranking event. Mikkelsen scored 20 points on field goals and showed good range. His "A" ball has clean ball rotation and he strikes it with confidence. Mikkelsen scored 96.78 points on kickoffs with a big ball of 61 yards with 3.56 seconds of hang time. He has above-average leg speed for his age. Continued efforts on repeatability and technical refinements will help him grow over the next few seasons.
