Kohl's Comments

Smith recently competed at the 2024 Kohl's Future Stars Event in January. He had a well-rounded weekend and showed command of his kicks. Smith scored 5 points on field goal charting, and 93.75 on kickoffs. His big ball traveled 60 yards with 3.38 seconds of hang time. Continued focus on repeatability and leg speed will elevate Smith's game. Smith attended the 2023 Kohl's Midwest Showcase Camp in December. He has shown improvement in both field goals and kickoffs since last summer. Smith scored 7 points on field goal charting and has a great "A" ball on field goals. Smith kicked off well at camp, smashing multiple kickoffs of 59 yards or greater. His best kickoff traveled 59 yards with 3.56 seconds of hang time. Smith competed at the 2023 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He showed improvement with his field goal technique and scored 17 combined points at camp. His biggest charted kickoff was 63 yards with 3.31 seconds of hang time. His ball striking has improved and he has the tools to develop into a great kicker the next 3 years. Smith competed at the 2022 Kohl's Midwest Winter Showcase Camp. He competed in field goals and kickoffs and was able to hit some consistent footballs during the drill work portion of camp.
