Kohl's Comments

Mathis had another strong showing at the 2024 Kohl's Future Stars Invitational. He once again displayed explosive leg speed and power at camp. His kickoffs are excellent, and he flashed consistency during the drill work portion of camp on his field goals. His contact is key and with continued focus on a clean rotating football, he should see improvement with his command of his "A" ball. He scored 4 points in the field goal charting portion of camp and connected with a big ball of 68 yards with 3.72 seconds of hang time in the kickoff charting. Mathis competed at the 2023 Kohl's Southern Winter Showcase. He put up 7 points on the field goal session, showing good command of the football. During the kickoff charting he finished with an over score of 103.20, sending his big ball a distance of 67 yards with a hang time of 3.65 seconds. Mathis is a talented prospect who is setting himself up well for a big year next year!
