Kohl's Comments

Layell’s last event was Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp in July of 2025. He competed in both kicking and punting. He scored 12 points on field goals, 95.15 points on kickoffs, and 97.48 points in punting at the event. Layell graded out as a college punting prospect at the event and should attract college interest this fall/winter. Layell came out to the 2024 Kohl's Southern Showcase Camp in December. It was his first ranking camp. Layell scored 3 points on field goals, 89.70 points on kickoffs, and 90.94 points on punts. His best kickoff traveled 59 yards with 3.06 seconds of hang time. Layell also connected on a 50-yard blast with 4.09 seconds of hang time. Layell has potential to be an exciting combo athlete in the 2026 class.
