    Gruesen recently competed at the 2023 Kohl's National Scholarship Showcase. He had a score of 11 field goals. During the kickoff charting, Gruessen walked away with an overall score of 91.75, with his "A" ball being a 60-yard kick with a hang time of 3.65 seconds. Gruesen had majority of his balls over 50 yards during the camp. Gruessen can continue to make improvements in his craft by working on his leg strength.

      With three kickers overall taken in the NFL Draft, the sixth round was a big one. All with similar attributes, when the first was selected, other teams knew they had to act fast. Within the span of ten draft picks, all three top kickers on draft boards were taken by teams looking for a kicker.
