    Kohl's Comments

    Garza recently competed at the 2023 Kohl's National Scholarship Showcase. During the kickoff charting, he had a big ball of 57 yards with a hang time of 3.16 seconds. He showed good command of his ball through out the punt charting. His big ball measured a distance of 40 yards with a hang time of 3.89 seconds. Garza competed at the 2023 Kohl's Southern Spring Showcase Camp. He scored 84.95 in the kickoff portion of camp with a big ball of 54 yards with 3.12 seconds of hang time. He had solid drill work where he showed command of his "A" ball in the field goal portion of camp and he charted 1 point. In the punting portion of camp he scored a 85.82. Garza competed at the 2022 Kohl's Texas Winter Showcase Camp. He charted in field goals and punts at camp and was able to show his skill throughout the day. He earned an invite to the Future Stars Event. He flashed good "pop" on his made kicks during the drill work and charting portions of field goals and was able to score 3 points.

    With three kickers overall taken in the NFL Draft, the sixth round was a big one. All with similar attributes, when the first was selected, other teams knew they had to act fast. Within the span of ten draft picks, all three top kickers on draft boards were taken by teams looking for a kicker.
