Hughey participated in the 2025 Kohl's National Scholarship Invitational. He hit 10 field goals and posted a 94.68 kickoff score, with a standout ball of 67 yards and 3.35 seconds of hang time. He also notched an 88.17 overall punt score, demonstrating a well-rounded skill set. His ability to contribute effectively in both the kicking and punting phases positions him well with continued focused training. He moved well in space and charted one of the best roll-out scores for his age, at camp. Hughey participated in the 2025 Kohl's Southern Spring Showcase where he performed well for it being his first ranking event. He scored 7 field goals during the charting session and finished with a 93.55 on kickoffs. His best kickoff traveled 62 yards with a hang time of 3.19 seconds. He also turned in a punt score of 91.66, with his best punt traveling 47 yards with a hang time of 4.06 seconds. Hughey will be a combo prospect to watch over these next two years.
