Hello, I’m Kenan Patrick Quaid, and here are some key things to know about me:

I stand 5'11" and weigh 180 lbs. I plan to graduate in the spring 2026 from Waukee Northwest High School, located in Waukee, Iowa. Currently, I have a GPA of 3.740, taking challenging classes and pushing myself to improve every day. Throughout my high school years, I have earned academic awards each term.

You can reach me at (515) 330-9933 or via email at quaidkp@icloud.com.

My primary sport is football, I have also been avid soccer player my whole life, competing for the Vision Soccer Academy club team in Waukee, IA and am a part of the varsity soccer program at Waukee Northwest High School. The head football coach at Northwest is Corey Kopatich, you can contact him at (515) 954-5436 or by email at ckopatich@waukeeschools.org.

A little about my kicking career: I've grown up having my foot on a ball and love to compete. Competitive soccer prepared me well for the discipline and intensity of football and I have found a great balance and synergy between the two sports. While I competed in various roles during my youth football experiences, my true passion for football and kicking began the summer before my junior year as my coach asked me to focus on developing my kicking skills in order to contribute to the varsity program my junior year. I helped with kicking during my freshman year and also played quite a bit of defense, leveraging my speed and aggressive play. I have found a passion for kicking and have a desire to continue to train and develop my game.

I'm really excited to access all the learning I can and discover what I am capable of as a key contributor to the game. I participated in the Kohl’s Showcase in November of 2024, and I’m excited to attend many more showcases in the future. Currently, I continue my training through Kohl's with Coach Austin Errthum (University of Northern Iowa), focusing on refining my mechanics, building more power in my body and training in mindset disciplines to accelerate my learning and skill as a kicker during the offseason. I’ve also been fortunate to learn and mentor with other outstanding coaches and players, including Tyler Perkins (current Iowa State punter), Brent Wilker (University of Iowa), and Keith Duncan (University of Iowa).

In the past season, I had the opportunity to start as a kicker, focusing primarily on kickoffs. This year, I’m stepping up to take on both punting and kicking duties, and I’m looking forward to a fantastic season ahead. You can check out my highlights on Hudl: My Hudl Profile.

As an athlete, my key strengths include:

    • Physical Strength: I’ve built a strong foundation through dedication to fitness, agility, nutrition, and athletic performance.
    • Leadership: I lead both on the field and off, whether it's in football, as a captain of the soccer team, in the classroom and volunteering in my church community. I rise to the occasion in tough situations to keep the team focused and motivated. I care about my team, I'm fiercely loyal and want the best for my teammates all the time.
    • Communication: I’m a strong communicator, not just by expressing what I need from coaches, but also by actively listening to their feedback, as they always know what’s best for my growth.
    • Discipline: I constantly push myself to improve, whether it's in my personal development or in refining my kicking technique through training.
    • Work Ethic: I’m the type of person who shows up early, stays after practice to help my teammates, picks up equipment, and puts in the extra work to improve my kicks. My coaches have often said, "I've never coached a harder working athlete!"

I’m excited to kick-off my senior year for Northwest, and I look forward to finding a college football program to begin my journey in college athletics and pursue excellence in academics in the fall of 2026!
