Heil competed at the 2024 Kohl's Western Showcase and scored 109.5 points in punting, 14/15 points on field goals, and 107.5 points on kickoffs. Heil has become a well rounded specialist with potentially the most upside in punting! At the National Underclassman Challenge, he had excellent leg strength and commanded his "A" ball well on kickoffs. His overall score was 103.93 and he connected with 8 points in the field goal charting. His punting was excellent once again and he scored an overall total of 102.64. His biggest charted punt was 60 yards with 3.83 seconds of hang time. He drives the ball with ease and keeping his steps small and sitting back on contact should help him create more hang time on his punts. Heil earned a rating of 4.5-stars in December of 2023 with a good day at a winter Showcase Camp. He scored 9/15 points on field goals and 107.1 points on kickoffs. His biggest kickoff traveled 70 yards and had 3.80 seconds of hang-time. He scored 104.24 points in punting, with a big ball of 52 yards with 4.68 seconds of hang-time. Heil put together another strong showing during the 2022 Kohl's Western Winter Showcase Camp. He scored 6 points during the field goal charting, had a big ball during the kickoff charting of 58 yards with 3.21 seconds of hang time. He also performed well in the punting portion of camp, having multiple punts travel over 40+ yards through his excellent timing on his drop and balance throughout the motion.
