    Phillips came out to the 2024 Kohl's Southern Showcase Camp in May. He scored 2 points on field goal charting, 96.05 points on kickoffs, 87.27 points on punts, and 2 points on roll-outs. Phillips took coaching well during drill work and adjusted well. He asked questions and is coachable. Phillips hit a big kickoff of 62 yards with 3.52 seconds of hang time. His best punt was a 37-yard punt with 4.07 seconds of hang time. Hard work on ball-striking and weight training will help Phillips see gains in his abilities. He has potential to be an exciting prospect.

    With three kickers overall taken in the NFL Draft, the sixth round was a big one. All with similar attributes, when the first was selected, other teams knew they had to act fast. Within the span of ten draft picks, all three top kickers on draft boards were taken by teams looking for a kicker.
