Herndon took part in the 2025 Kohl’s Southern Winter Showcase, working through challenging weather. He converted 4 field goals and posted an 87.70 kickoff score, highlighted by a best ball of 57 yards with 3.13 seconds of hang time. He also registered a 72.75 punt score. Herndon has workable mechanics across all three skills, and with continued attention to consistency, he has the ability to make noticeable strides moving forward. Herndon competed at the 2025 Kohl's National Scholarship Invitational and delivered a solid all-around performance. He made 11 field goals and earned a kickoff score of 77.60. In the punt phase, he scored 74.30 and hit a standout punt of 40 yards with 3.66 seconds of hang time. With further development in leg strength and consistency, he has the foundation to grow as a combo specialist.
