Kohl's Comments

Murray recently competed at the Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp in July of 2022. His field goal technique is well above his age and he had the best charting with 26 points made out of 33 at the event. Murray has the talent required to be a dominant speicliast over the upcoming years and we are excited to see how far he takes his craft. Murray competed at the Kohl's Southern Showcase in May of 2022. He continues to show that he is well above his age with his talent as a kicker. He made 9 points out of 11 and was able to hit a 72-yard, 3.84 second hang time kickoff. Murray competed at the 2022 Kohl's Future Stars Event. He earned the number 1 ranking in the country with 9 out of 10 on field goal charting and scored a 101.35 on kickoffs. Murray attended the 2021 Kohl’s Texas Showcase and impressed the coaches with his power at his age. He scored 5 points during the field goal charting while adding in an impressive 98.55 points for his kickoff score, hitting several over 60+ yards. Murray is much further ahead than other athletes at his age and looks to have a very bright future ahead of him!

    Being a Kohl’s Coach for over ten years, the one thing I hear the most from athletes is talk of their star rating & ranking and what they want to achieve, especially during the Showcase season. But I wonder how many have thought about what it takes to achieve it and how to make it happen with their training? I am a big believer of setting high goals, laying out a detailed plan and doing everything in my power to try and achieve them.
