    Kohl's Comments

    Holden competed at the Kohl’s Southern Showcase and got out to a solid start during the charting portion of camp. He finished the camp with an average snap time of .82 seconds. Holden has smooth mechanics and provided the punters with an easy ball to handle during the live snapping aspect of camp. He will see his snapping continue to improve has he stays fast and uses his size to his advantage.

    Athlete Bio

    William "Liam" Holden is a 6'3", 190 lb. long snapper and defensive end who also started as a sophomore in the 2020 season as Varsity long snapper and defensive end at St. Petersburg High School for Coach Denis Gillen's Green Devils. He goes to every optional workout, is considered a leader on his team by players and coaches. Liam has attended and performed well in both regional and national camps for his roles at both Defensive End and Long Snapper. Liam had a solid performance at the 2021 Kohl's National Invitational Scholarship Camp, highlighted by a 4 snap bullseye streak on the small place kicking snap targets.

    He is a diligent student with a 3.28 GPA while taking multiple Advanced Placement and Honors classes each semester.
    He is particularly interested in history, geography and chemistry. Born and raised in his early years in Athens, GA, Liam has expressed interest in SEC programs as well as those farther afield, including Service Academies. Liam has a very coachable and respectful demeanor.

    Recruiting Blog: Setting Goals-- Athletic, Academic & Recruiting

    Being a Kohl’s Coach for over ten years, the one thing I hear the most from athletes is talk of their star rating & ranking and what they want to achieve, especially during the Showcase season. But I wonder how many have thought about what it takes to achieve it and how to make it happen with their training? I am a big believer of setting high goals, laying out a detailed plan and doing everything in my power to try and achieve them.
