Kregel came out to the 2024 Kohl's Midwest Showcase Camp in December. He scored a solid 8 points on field goal charting and commanded his "A" ball well. Kregel scored 101.25 points on kickoffs with a big ball of 66 yards with 3.84 seconds of hang time. Kregel has big-ball potential. He scored 95.98 points on punt charting with a big ball of 50 yards with 4.43 seconds of hang time. Kregel is an exciting combo athlete in the 2025 class. Kregel had another solid showing at the 2024 Kohl's Future Stars Invitational. He won the kickoff competition day 1 for his age group. He scored 6 points in the charting portion of camp on field goals and scored 102.65 on kickoffs. His biggest charted kickoff at camp was 67 yards with 3.59 seconds of hang time. He has excellent leg speed and creating more command of extending through contact should help him continue to improve his distance and hang time on his kickoffs. Kregel competed at the 2023 Kohl’s Midwest Winter Showcase. He had a great performance for his first ranking event. He showed good command of the football while putting up 7 points on the field goal session. During the kickoff charting, Kregel showed advanced leg speed through contact sending his big ball a distance of 64 yards with a hang time of 3.59 seconds.
