Kohl's Comments

Malphurs continues to put up impressive performances at each camp he attends, his most recent during the 2022 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He scored 24 points during the field goal charting sessions, and had an impressive big ball during kickoff of 77 yards with a hang time of 3.58 seconds. Malphurs is well on his way to making a big splash at the next level if he can keep up with these sorts of performances. Malphurs is an impressive overall athlete. Long and slender with explosive hips. He had arguably one of the best HS seasons in the country last season by going 18-20 with a long of 57. He competed well at a Kohl's ranking event in January of 2022. He can be dominant with his kickoffs, and he was able to chart several 65+ yard balls including a big ball of 67 yards with 3.87 seconds of hang time. The trajectory he creates is also towards the top of his class nationally and if can consistency lock his leg out through ball/foot contact He can become one of the top field goal kickers in the 2023 Class.
