Thornton competed at the 2026 Kohl's Southern Spring Showcase. He connected on 4 field goals during charting and earned an outstanding 102.15 kickoff score with a best ball of 71 yards and 3.40 seconds of hang time. Thornton clearly has big ball ability, and cleaning up some technical details this offseason will help him improve the consistency of his overall performance.
