Kohl's Comments

Cushing had a great performance at the 2024 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He showed well in both his field goals and kickoff charting. He scored 22 points in the field goal charting and commanded his "A" ball well throughout camp. His overall score on kickoffs was 101.15 which includes a big ball of 66 yards with 3.58 seconds of hang time. He is hitting the best he ever has and is poised for a great senior season. Cushing performed well at the 2024 Kohl's Western Showcase Camp in May. He scored 9 points on field goal charting and showed improved command of his "A" ball. Cushing scored 106.90 points on kickoff charting and connected on a big ball of 76 yards with 3.08 seconds of hang time. Cushing charted multiple kickoffs of 70 yards or more. Continued focus on technical refinements will pair well with Cushing's leg strength as he continues to grow over the next six months.

NFL Draft Recap: 3 Top Kohl's Kickers Selected

With three kickers overall taken in the NFL Draft, the sixth round was a big one. All with similar attributes, when the first was selected, other teams knew they had to act fast. Within the span of ten draft picks, all three top kickers on draft boards were taken by teams looking for a kicker.
