Howell made noticeable improvements since his last ranking event at the 2026 Kohl's National Scholarship Invitational. He finished the event with 9 field goals, a 97.42 kickoff score, and a standout kickoff of 66 yards with 3.50 seconds of hang time. Howell has continued to trend in the right direction and has given himself an excellent opportunity to put together a successful senior season. Howell had a strong showing at his first ranking event, the 2024 Kohl's Texas Winter Showcase. He showed poise and confidence in his field goal charting and was able to produce a score of 6 points at camp. His overall score on kickoffs was 81.55 which included a big ball of 53 yards with 3.03 seconds of hang time. He has good coordination and smooth swing on his field goals. Hitting the weights this winter and gaining confidence in his approach on kickoffs will be key for his continued development.
