Kohl's Comments

Gerber came out to the 2024 Kohl's Western Showcase Camp in May. He competed well as he scored 8 points on field goals, 112.25 points on kickoffs, and 87.76 points on punt charting. His best kickoff was a 79-yard kickoff with 3.43 seconds of hang time. Gerber charted some monster kickoffs and we have seen incredible growth in his leg speed. His best punt was a 57-yard punt with 4.04 seconds of hang time. Gerber has college-level leg talent. If he continues to work hard on his drop table repeatability and field goal technique, he will become one of the best combo athletes in the class of 2025. Gerber competed at his first Kohl's ranking camp in May of 2023. At the Western Showcase Camp, he scored 8 of 15 points on field goals and 96.5 points on kick-offs. Gerber graded out at the 4.5-star level as a kicker. His drill work showed us what his "A" ball looks like. If he can continue to make gains he has a chance to be one of the best kickers in CA by the time he's a senior. Gerber is someone to watch in the coming year!

    With three kickers overall taken in the NFL Draft, the sixth round was a big one. All with similar attributes, when the first was selected, other teams knew they had to act fast. Within the span of ten draft picks, all three top kickers on draft boards were taken by teams looking for a kicker.
