Kohl's Comments

McKechnie recently competed at the Kohl's Midwest Winter Showcase and had a solid day punting. During the charting, he hit a big ball of 39 yards with 4.4 seconds of hang time and displayed good body positioning throughout each punt. Operation is a key point for transitioning to the next level and continued work on his hands and drop will improve timing and consistency overall for McKechnie's punting. McKechnie had another solid showing during the 2022 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He scored 12 points during the field goal charting, finished with an average kickoff score for the weekend of 88.45 points and had a big ball during the punt charting of 43 yards with a hang time of 4.38 seconds. McKechnie displays great control of his body throughout the kicking motion and has made some great strides in his abilities.
