Whalen recently attended the 2017 Future Stars event in Atlanta, GA. He continues to show improvement as a combo specialist. His punting stood out at camp and if he continues to gain confidence in his leg swing up and through the ball he will be able to do some great things at the high school level. He showed good consistency during the field goal charting portion of the 2016 Winter Showcase camp going 6 out of 10.Academics
