    Byram had a solid showing at his first ranking event, the 2023 Kohl's Midwest Winter Showcase. He competed in all three categories and charted some great footballs at camp. He scored 7 points in the field goal portion of camp and connected with some consistent kicks during the drill work portion. His overall score on kickoffs was 92.45 which includes a big ball of 55 yards with 3.75 seconds of hang time. During the punt charting and drill work he flashed an impressive "A" ball. His biggest charted punt at camp was 34 yards with 4.08 seconds of hang time.

    With three kickers overall taken in the NFL Draft, the sixth round was a big one. All with similar attributes, when the first was selected, other teams knew they had to act fast. Within the span of ten draft picks, all three top kickers on draft boards were taken by teams looking for a kicker.
