Cody Strawn is a class of 2028 Kicker for the Rochester High School Rockets of Rochester, IL. The Rockets are 10-time State competitors, 9-time champions in their division. Cody spent his earlier years as a soccer player, playing every position on the field, holding keeper most of his 6th-7th grade years. In 8th grade Cody switched from soccer to football and had his first opportunity to kick. His sophomore year Cody made his Varsity kicking debut. He had 3,681 kickoff yards in his first season, 10 PAT attempts with all 10 successful and scoring points. Cody is expected to take kickoffs and PATS in his Junior season, as well as punts. For Kickoff yardage, Cody is ranked #259 in the US, #3 in Illinois, #1 Sophomore in Illinois, #1 in IL Division 4A, and #1 in Central State Eight – East.
On top of his impressive kicking stats, Cody had 4 total tackles, 2 of those being solo tackles. All 4 tackles made following his kickoffs. He also has 1 fumble recovery made immediately after his own kickoff, as he recovered the ball after a squib kick.
Cody is also a track athlete in sprints and relays, with a personal best of 11.3 seconds in the 100 meter dash his sophomore year.
