Paulus had strong showings at the 2019 Midwest Winter and the 2020 UC-Challenge. He has a powerful leg that he commands well on his field goals and kickoffs. He has a compact frame and he maximizes his leg speed and power well. He is explosive with his leg swing and the ball jumps off of his foot. He has made tremendous strides in his punting ability and continues to show he is a high level combo prospect. He Paulus competed at the 2018 Midwest December Showcase. He showed well in the field goal charting by scoring 7 points and was able to hit a big ball of 67 yards with 3.78 seconds of hang time. He has powerful hips and great command of his leg swing. He generates excellent lift and is able to create above average height with his compact leg swing.
