2017 National long snapper Ratings

We only evaluate campers that we have personally seen at a Kohl's camp. In order to assure yourself a ranking you must attend a Kohl's Showcase camp or the Scholarship camp.

When ranking we ask the question, "If there was a college game today, is this athlete ready to help a college team win?". We look at the camp charts and take into account the different conditions at each camp. We also look strongly at how an athlete performs in drill work when they know they are being evaluated and graded. We see how they handle pressure and react in the camp competitions. We see certain athletes multiple times a year and try to grade them on their average performance.

Kohl's sees more athletes than anyone else in America at our 135 events.

There will be over 300 Kohl's high school seniors playing college football next season. There are many good prospects at the 4.0 and 4.5 star levels that will start in college in the future.

Through the entire Kohl's Snapping Series, Jacob has only missed 1 long snap target. Jacob is as automatic as it get. Not only is he a bullseye accurate snapper, but he has consistent ball rotation. Max previously showed his potential at the Eastern Showcase but made it official during the Scholarship Camp. He put 7 of 10 through the target and finished with an average snap time of .71 seconds. During the charting session of the Showcase, he scored on 10 out of his 12 long snaps and averaged a .69 second snap time. Sam is extremely athletic and has the potential to play a skill position at the next level. He currently weighs 225 pounds and can easily put on more quality mass. He has extremely good rotation and is consistently on target. Smith showed his athleticism by running a 4.83 second 40 yard dash as well as running a 4.4 in the pro agility. His athleticism is off the charts, he ran a 4.55 second 40 yard dash and jumped over 10 feet in the broad jump. Royer is a raw talent that has the potential to be one of the best snappers in the country. During the final snapping competition at the Eastern Showcase with a .66 second snap and the ball just jumps off his hands. Gunnar has the potential to be a special athlete for whatever program he decides to attend.

Gunner showed consistent ball rotation during charting and the live portion of camp. He put 7 snaps through the target and finished with an average snap time of .70 seconds. Gunner attended the 2016 Scholarship Camp and continued to show his consistency as a snapper by scoring on 7 out of 12 long snaps with a snap time average of .73 seconds for the weekend. Gunner also performed well while snapping live to the punters on day 2 of camp, providing great spirals and location. Gunner has excellent snapping technique and very smooth mechanics but would see improvements by being more accurate with his short snaps.	Committed: Ball State*

He showed this during the athleticism portion by having an 8',8" broad jump. During the charting portion of camp, he had an average snap time of .74 seconds. Daycen has a ton of potential with his frame and snapping ability. With focus on being consistent with his mechanics, Daycen can very easily play at the next level.

Austin has a lot of positives going for him and has a lot of potential as a snapper but would help himself by keeping his weight back more through his snap.

At the 2015 Western Showcase in December, Jakob showed his solid technique and smooth fundamentals. At the completion of camp, Jakob finished with an average snap time of .725. Jakob really set himself apart during the live snapping portion of camp and during the evaluation portion.

He finished the showcase with an average snap time of .66 seconds. At the Spring Midwest Showcase, he continued to show his explosiveness with an average snap time of .67 seconds. Trevor has one of the fastest snaps in the 2017 class but will benefit from being more consistent with his location. He has the potential to be one of the best snappers in the country.

Buckner shows his capabilities but needs to show this more consistently.

Joseph will continue to benefit by focusing on his release and keeping his stance balanced and focusing on completing his entire snapping motion. He scored on 5 of his 12 snaps and showed great improvement in his velocity. Travis is one of the biggest overall snappers in the 2017 class, standing at 6',4" and weighing 235 pounds. During the charting portion, he averaged a .68 second snap time. With his size and potential, Travis is a very exciting prospect.

He started off very well scoring on 4 of his first 5 snaps. He put 4/15 snaps through the target and went 2/5 during the last elimination round of the Snap Challenge Competition.

He has an athletic frame at 6',4" and 260 pounds and will continue to develop as he grows into his frame and develops stronger snapping mechanics. Andrew will benefit from utilizing his size and strength in his snapping motion. During the Showcase Camp, Andrew scored on 3 of his 12 snaps and averaged a .88 second snap time.
Young, Sam	NC	Samuel averaged a snap time of .93 seconds and scored on 7/15 long snaps and 10/15… continue reading Samuel averaged a snap time of .93 seconds and scored on 7/15 long snaps and 10/15 short snaps. Sam will benefit by becoming more explosive which will not only transfer over to snapping but will also benefit him with his speed and agility. He snapped the ball with good rotation through out the entire day.
