The state of Texas brought out many of the best kickers, punters, and long snappers during the 2017 National Showcase Tour. Watch highlights as Coach Jamie Kohl recaps top talent from the Texas Showcase.

Top Performers

Cade York had and outstanding showing at the Texas Showcase. York made 10-of-10 charted field goals, finished first in the kickoff charting phase, and second in the punt charting phase.

2018 kicker Gavin Baechle, from Texas, had an outstanding showing also making 10-of-10 charted field goals and finishing third in the kickoff charting phase. Baechle went on to win the field goal competition during the afternoon.

Transfer kicker Christian Vazquez had a solid day as well. He made 10-of-10 charted field goals, and was dominant during the field goal phase at camp.

2018 kicker Alex Stadhaus. He finished second in the kickoff charting phase and made a total of 9-of-10 field goals and won the kickoff competition.

2019 punter/kicker Tristan Heaton won the punt competition held in the afternoon.

Oscar Draguicevich, a transfer punter, also had a solid showing. He won the punt charting phase, and did well during the drill work in the afternoon.

Class of 2018 kicker/punter, Clayton Stewart, finished third in the punt charting portion of the event and also showed well during the field goal drill work phase of camp.

2018 long snapper Austin Ortega, from Texas, finished with a camp-leading 53.5 points during the charting session.

2019 snappers Charlie Gambs and Jack Myers finished with 50.5 long snapping points during camp, and tied for second place at camp.

2020 long snapper Koby Hathcock, from Arizona, won the snapping competition to close out the event.

With three kickers overall taken in the NFL Draft, the sixth round was a big one. All with similar attributes, when the first was selected, other teams knew they had to act fast. Within the span of ten draft picks, all three top kickers on draft boards were taken by teams looking for a kicker.
