Todd Wellmann

Coach Wellmann was an all-county punter at Warren Central High School (Indpls., IN). He went on to play rugby at Indiana University. Coach Wellmann became the special teams and specialists coach at Warren Central High School in 2010 and began his coaching career with Kohl’s Kicking the same year.

Since that time, Coach Wellmann has become a senior instructor and the Indianapolis Training Division leader for Kohl’s. Coach Wellmann has coached numerous high school and collegiate level kickers (all divisions) and has been able to consult with various NFL punters/kickers. Through his detailed and
technique-focused coaching, Coach Wellmann has aided numerous high school specialists (kickers, punters and long snappers) plan for and work through their respective recruiting processes.

Coach Wellmann continues to coach many of his high school kickers and snappers who are now playing at the collegiate level (Power 5 D-1, D-2, NAIA and D-3 divisions). Through off-season workouts, to video break down and even visiting them at their universities, Coach Wellmann offers seamless and consistent training to those moving through their respective kicking/snapping careers.

Coach Wellmann coaches the Indianapolis Training Division, private lessons, regional and national showcase/ranking camps as well as coaching at the Kohl’s National Training Center in McKinney, TX.

NFL Draft Recap: 3 Top Kohl's Kickers Selected

With three kickers overall taken in the NFL Draft, the sixth round was a big one. All with similar attributes, when the first was selected, other teams knew they had to act fast. Within the span of ten draft picks, all three top kickers on draft boards were taken by teams looking for a kicker.
