Riley Dixon has grown close to the Kohl's staff after training throughout his college career and in preparation for his eventual draft pick to the Denver Broncos in the 2016 NFL Draft

Dixon was a walk-on, redshirt punter at Syracuse from 2011-15. Having graduated as the third best punter in Orange history with a career average of (42.62 yards), Dixon was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the 7th round of the 2016 NFL Draft following his graduation.

His rookie season was very successful after posting the highest net average (41.3 yards) for a rookie punter in NFL history and was selected to the Pro Football Writers Association All-Rookie Team. Riley averaged 45.7 yards on 89 punts his rookie year.

NFL Draft Recap: 3 Top Kohl's Kickers Selected

With three kickers overall taken in the NFL Draft, the sixth round was a big one. All with similar attributes, when the first was selected, other teams knew they had to act fast. Within the span of ten draft picks, all three top kickers on draft boards were taken by teams looking for a kicker.
