    Kohl's Comments

Kubon Jr. put together some strong moments throughout the 2022 Kohl’s Midwest Spring Showcase. He showed smooth mechanics during the field goal drill work and added in a big ball during kickoff of 55 yards with 2.88 seconds of hang time. Kubon Jr. has good technique through his kicking motion but will greatly benefit with an improved weight training program to add strength and explosiveness. During his recent performance at the 2021 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp, Kubon Jr. showed some flashes of his true potential. He displayed really smooth mechanics through his field goal charting and kickoffs. He was able to hit several kickoffs over 50+ yards and scored 12 points during the field goal charting. Kubon Jr. will see his leg speed improve with a focus on explosive movements and adding more strength. Excited to see what he can do in the years to come!

Recruiting Blog: Setting Goals-- Athletic, Academic & Recruiting

Being a Kohl’s Coach for over ten years, the one thing I hear the most from athletes is talk of their star rating & ranking and what they want to achieve, especially during the Showcase season. But I wonder how many have thought about what it takes to achieve it and how to make it happen with their training? I am a big believer of setting high goals, laying out a detailed plan and doing everything in my power to try and achieve them.
