Kohl's Comments

McCarthy improved a great deal in the last year. He had another strong camp on field goals scoring 34/36 points at the National Scholarship Camp. He also scored 101.80 points on kick-offs. He recently moved into the 5-star category as a kicker. McCarthy made a 65-yard field goal in the drill work phase at a May 2023 camp! McCarthy's drill work made him look like a D1 kicker. His charts were solid, he scored 9/15 points on field goals and 107.7 points on kick-offs. He competed at his first Kohl's ranking event during the 2022 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He scored 10 points during the field goal charting sessions and showed good power during his kickoff charting, his best being a 64-yard kick with 3.39 seconds of hang time. McCarthy has a lot of raw power and is proving to be one of the best ball strikers in the 2024 class.
