Kohl's Comments

Wedel came out to the 2024 Kohl's Future Stars Camp in January where he competed as both a kicker and a punter. He shined the brightest punting the football over the weekend, posting a score of 95.76. Wedel connected on multiple punts of 45 yards or more with a big ball of 51 yards with 4.02 seconds of hang time. Wedel scored 4 points on field goals and 87.20 points on kickoffs. His natural abilities lean towards punting, but continued focus on technical refinements will help Wedel blossom into an exciting combo prospect in his class. Wedel recently competed at the 2023 Kohl's Eastern Winter Showcase. Here he put on a great performance for it being his first ranking event. He was able to put up 6 points on the field goal session. During the kickoff charting, Wedel had his standout ball measure a distance of 58 yards with a hang time of 3.44 seconds. On the punt charting, Wedel was able to connect with a powerful ball that reached a distance of 55 yards with a hang time of 4.09 seconds. Wedel will be a fun athlete to watch over the coming year!
