    Kohl's Comments

Irwin put together a strong showing during the 2022 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He scored 19 points during the field goal charting and added in a big ball of 70 yards with 3.91 seconds of hang time during the kickoffs. Irwin has a lot of raw power and as he gains more control over his contact position, he will see his "A" ball more consistently. Irwin attended his first Kohl’s ranking event at the Winter Showcase in December of 2021. He had a solid field goal charting phase of camp with 9 points made. He also hit multiple 40+ yard punts which allowed us to see that he has good natural talent. The upcoming year will be key for him to grow in confidence to maximize his ability as a combo specialist.

Recruiting Blog: Setting Goals-- Athletic, Academic & Recruiting

Being a Kohl’s Coach for over ten years, the one thing I hear the most from athletes is talk of their star rating & ranking and what they want to achieve, especially during the Showcase season. But I wonder how many have thought about what it takes to achieve it and how to make it happen with their training? I am a big believer of setting high goals, laying out a detailed plan and doing everything in my power to try and achieve them.
