Dylan Kayhanfar is a highly athletic high school kicker from Murray, Nebraska. Dylan started playing football as a 4th grader and immediately became passionate about kicking. As a pop-warner player Dylan consistently made extra points for his team and his first field goal attempt came in his last game of the 4th grade season, driving home a 28 yarder to secure the win for his team. Dylan had an extremely successfully middle school campaign handling all special teams’ kickoffs, field goals and extra point attempts.
Hailing from a small-town Nebraska, Dylan blazed the trail for kicking at Conestoga High School (Murray, Nebraska) which in his freshmen and sophomore years competed as an 8-man football program. Down three men on an extra point and field goal attempts posed challenges in the time a kicker had to execute a kick, and as a biproduct of this, he has developed a quick step and strike adapting to the challenges presented to him.As a freshman, Dylan was the starting varsity kicker, trusted by his coaching staff because of his high degree of accuracy as an adequate trade for distance at this young age in his maturity. As a sophomore, Dylan notched 19 extra points and 3 field goals placing him as a top ten 8-man kicker in the nation according to MaxPreps at that time.
Following his sophomore football season, Dylan attended his first ever Kohl’s kicking camp attending the Midwest Winter Showcase where he was proud to earn his first ever ranking of 3 ½ stars. This was Dylan’s first competitive camp; however, Dylan is an annual attendee of the Midwest Kicking Camp directed by Scott Hale and sponsored by Alex Henry (2018–2023).Dylan has also taken private instruction focused specifically on developing his technique and increasing his power.
As a junior Dylan’s Conestoga high school team made the conversion from 8-man to 11-man football and the time had come to take on more responsibility as leader on the varsity football team. Dylan earned the starting positions of Quarterback and Cornerback, while continuing his journey as a Kicker. Dylan went on to add 9 extra points and 2 field goals last season. In the year of development between his sophomore and junior seasons there were noticeable gains made in both his kickoff and place-kicking distances, while continuing to attain a high degree of accuracy in his attempts.
Off the football field Dylan is academic standout, considered to be at the top of his class and competing to be the 2026 valedictorian of Conestoga, while enrolled in several honors and AP classes. Dylan is a multi-sport athlete, who in his freshman year lettered on the varsity state-qualifying soccer team and as sophomore earned the starting role as the center forward. Furthermore, Dylan enjoys the game of golf and competed in ten Nebraska Golf Association tournaments in the summer of 2024, carrying a 12.6 handicap. Dylan loves to compete and never shies away in a big moment.
Through all this Dylan’s passion resides with kicking and he is fully committed to becoming a kicker at the college level. Dylan exemplifies the work ethic, maturity and leadership skills required to succeed at the next level. He is looking for a school with a strong football program and superior academic reputation where he can contributor the success of the program and his teammates.
