While competing during the 2021 Kohl’s Texas Winter Showcase, Dodson proved that he has the ability to play at the next level. He scored 8 points during the field goal charting while adding in an average score during kickoff of 104.80 points. Dodson has the kind of power and consistency that would improve many college programs kicking situations. During the 2021 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp, Dowd showed steady progress in his punting technique. He had some very strong moments throughout the charting, averaging 4 seconds of hang time. Dowd has tremendous control over his body through his punting form and looks to have a great future as a college punter.
