    At the Senior Challenge Nielsen made 6 of 10 Field Goals and graded out at the 4.5 star level by hitting multiple kick-offs over 65 yards! Nielsen also competed at the 2022 Kohl's Western Winter Showcase. It was his first ranking event and he flashed solid ball striking and leg speed at the camp. He scored 6 points in the field goal charting and was able to hit a big ball of 55 yards with 3.29 seconds of hang time on kickoffs. He charted punts as well at the event and was able to produce a big ball of 30 yards with 3.35 seconds of hang time.
