2007 HS Football Season Highlights of Great Performances

  • Andrew Weber (Kicker) - Wisconsin:

    Andrew was 51 for 55 in PATs; 5/5 in FGs; named First Team All Conference Badger North; Wisconsin State Journal All Area Team - Honorable Mention; Wisconsin Coaches Association All Region Team.

October

  • Derek Dimke (Kicker) - Illinois:

    Derek kicked a 54 yard field goal.
  • Joshua Mun (Kicker) - Hawaii:

    Joshua made All State in Hawaii.
  • Jacob Kusters (Punter/Kicker) - Wisconsin:

    Jacob punted 7 times in Week 8 averaging 49 yards with the longest 68 yards. He also had 64, 65, and 69 yard kickoffs. In Week 10; he had a 46 yard field goal and kickoffs of 68 and 70 yards.
  • Garrett Peck (Punter) - Wisconsin:

    Garrett averaged over 40 yards in punting with great hang times.
  • Tyler Aldridge (Kicker) - Minnesota:

    Tyler had 3 kickoffs with two touch backs; longest kick 75 yards. He was 2 for 2 on PATs in the same game. In sectional play-offs, Tyler had 4 for 4 in PATs; one 34 yd FG; and 2 KO's for touch backs.
  • Zak Brinkman (Punter/Kicker) - Wisconsin:

    He averaged 41.3 yards punting this season with kickoffs into the end zone and beyond.
  • Steven Fox (Kicker/Punter) - Illinois:

    Steven tied a state record for field goals kicked in a game with 4 (47, 42, 36, and 31 yards). He is 17 for 19 in PATs and 22 of 32 for touchbacks.
  • Nick Freeland (Punter/Kicker) - Indiana:

    Nick kicked a 48 yard field goal and is 25 for 25 in extra points.
  • Derek Koon (Kicker/Punter) - Kansas:

    Derek kicked a 38 yard FG as clock ran out to tie his game. He is 35 straight in PATs and is pictured kicking a 42 yard FG. He also kicked a 27 yard FG in overtime.
  • Travis Korn (Kicker) - Texas:

    Travis broke a school record hitting 3 field goals in one game.
  • Alex Wulfeck (Kicker) - Florida:

    Alex had a 49 yard punt.
  • Jacob McCabe (Kicker) - Wisconsin:

    Jacob, a freshman, kicked a game winning field goal in overtime; his second overtime victory kick this season.
  • Taylor Baskett (Kicker) - North Carolina:

    Taylor was 4 for 4 in PAT's and one field goal for 32 yards.
  • Pat Hughes (Kicker) - Wisconsin:

    Seasonal End: Pat is 53 of 55 in PATs and made 6 of 8 FG's with a long of 40 yards.
  • Justin Myer (Kicker) - Pennsylvania

    Justin finished his regular season with 30/43 touchbacks on his kick-offs; all in the 10 yard line. He had 7 kick-offs over 70 yards with a long of 79 yards, and 2 at 75 yards, and 7 in the high 60 yards.
  • Eric Malm (Kicker) - Indiana:

    Eric, a sophomore, is 23 for 26 with 21 in a row for PATs. He is new to kickoffs with 6 and a long of 56 yards.
  • Jeff Budzien (Kicker) - Wisconsin:

    Jeff kicked a 55 yard field goal in his game the first weekend of October. Seasonal end: he is 53 for 54 in PATs and 90% in touchbacks.
  • Matt Runkel (Kicker/Punter) Texas:

    Matt made 12 of 27 punts inside the twenty yard line and made FG's; 41, 37, 20, 36 & 24 yds. He is 12 for 12 in PATs.
  • Zak Pedersen (Snapper) - Illinois:

    Through nine games Zak has: 54 total short snaps with 52 being excellent and 2 playable. He had 10 total long snaps with all 10 being excellent; of the 10 long snaps, he had 2 tackles and 2 assists.
  • Mike Bogard (Kicker) - Wisconsin:

    Mike is 22 for 22 in PATs; averaging 63 yeards in kickoffs with a long of 77 yards; over half are touch backs. He had a 42 yard field goal.
  • Matt Berrey (Kicker/Punter) - Oklahoma:

    After nine games, Matt had 23 touchbacks on 32 kicks with an average of 63.18; the longest 80 yards and one through the uprights.
  • Chad Powell (Kicker/Punter) - Texas:

    At the end of 8 games,Chad is the top scorer for his team. He is 39 for 39 in PATs; 5 for 8 in FG's with the longest 37 yards; completed 20 punts averaging 44.95 yds and 4.15 in hang time with a long of 70 yards; and made 31 kickoffs averaging 63 yards with a 4.38 hang time and 9 touchbacks.
  • Jimmy Pavel (Kicker) - Oregon:

    Jimmy kicked a 42 yard field goal week of October 13th.
  • At every camp, Kohl's is consistently looking for the best kickers, punters, and snappers. Each athlete is being observed for their potential in all areas. The best performers from each camp and the athletes demonstrating the greatest potential are invited to the Kohl's Invitational Scholarship Camp at UW-Whitewater and the Showdown Camp later in the year.

  • Dustin Hopkins (Kicker) - Texas:

    Dustin, a junior, kicked a 43 yard FG; kicked one through the uprights on kick-off; and is 5 for 5 in extra points. He also got an interception and was the leading tackler with 10 unassisted tackles.
  • Jacob McCabe (Kicker) - Wisconsin:

    Jacob, a freshman, helped Viroqua end an 18-game losing streak by hitting the winning PAT in triple-overtime.
  • Ethan Kosjer (Kicker/Punter) - Kansas:

    Ethan kicked a 48 yard field goal.
  • Chris Kirkegaard (Snapper) - Arizona:

    Chris snapps good to help his team win 35 to 3.
  • Cullen Fahey (Kicker) - Illinois:

    Cullen drilled a 42 yard field goal to win in the last 3 seconds of the game.
  • Justin Myer (Kicker) - Pennsylvania:

    Justin kicks a school-record 47 yard field goal. He has been 10 for 10 in PATs.
  • Taylor Baskett (Kicker) - North Carolina:

    Taylor was 4 for 4 in PAT's; 33 yard FG; in kickoffs he had one touch back, two caught on the 1 yard line and one on the 3.
  • Aaron Hassett (Punter) - Pennsylvania:

    Aaron averaged 51.5 yards on 4 punts with total of 6 return yards. In his previous week, he was leading the WPIAL (western Pennsylvania)
  • Matt Rinehart (Kicker/Punter) - Ohio:

    Matt's punting average through week four of his season is 50.6 yards per punt.
  • Paul Iglar (Kicker/Punter) - Wisconsin:

    Paul is 12 for 12 in conversion attempts with FG of 29 and 23 yards.
  • Jacob Kusters (Kicker/Punter) - Wisconsin:

    Jacob is 4 for 4 with 26, 37, 40, and 46 yard FGs. He had 4 great punts; 2 inside the 10 and 2 inside the 1 yard line.
  • Derek Dimke (Kicker) - Illinois:

    Derek's kickoffs averaged 70 yards with 1 through the goalposts and hit a 43 yard FG. He is 4 for 4 on PATs. Had a 37 yd FG and kickoffs of 78 and 82 yards in Week 4.
  • Matt Weller (Kicker/Punter) - Ohio:

    Matt had 5 punts with over a 50 yard average - one was 67 yards in his 3rd week of his season and two FGs of 24 and 37 yards.
  • Jeff Budzien (Kicker) - Wisconsin:

    Jeff had a kickoff that went through the uprights and one hit the crossbar. He is 29 for 30 in extra points.
  • Casey Barth (Kicker/Punter) - North Carolina:

    Casey kicked a 52 yard FG and is 24 for 25 in extra points.
  • Garrett Peck (Punter) - Wisconsin:

    Garrett had long punts of 50 and 59 yards. He averaged 44 yards in punting in his last game of September.
  • Andy Fisher (Kicker) - North Carolina:

    Andy is 6/6 on PATs in first game of regular season; drilled a 42 yd. from the right hash; and kicked 3 touchbacks through the end zone.
  • Zak Brinkman (Punter/Kicker) - Wisconsin:

    Zak had a 64 Yd Punt with a 4.2 sec hang time and a 41 yard FG. He is 4 of 4 in extra points and had 2 kickoffs go into the end zone.
